Experienced Stress Analyst to join our firm to make an immediate impact for studies to be performed in support of ARES I for Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). |
| Job Requirements |
The Incumbent will support NASA/MSFC development team by performing detailed analysis of aerospace structural assemblies and components. The incumbent will work independently and with guidance from Project Lead to plan and perform structural analyses and formally document all analysis results. Typical analyses include metallic and composite materials. The individual will provide structural substantiation using analytical tools including 3D Solid Modeling, Finite Element Modeling (FEM), and hand calculations.
Experience with fracture, fatigue, thermal and non-linear analysis methods with ABAQUS are a plus. |
| Education |
Bachelor’s
Degree in Engineering Discipline from an ABET accredited
institution with greater than 5 years experience is required. * Master's in Engineering is a plus. |
| Required Skills |
Familiarity
with design, analysis, manufacture, and testing of metal or composite
structures. Experience with NASTRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS. Excellent oral and written communication skills. |
| Desired Skills | Familiarity with composite structures, flight vehicles, structural testing is also desired. |
