BG Smith & Associates announces that Mr. James H. Ehl joins the team.

BG Smith & Associates, Inc. welcomes Mr. Jim Ehl to their diverse team of seasoned professionals on April, 1 2008.  Mr. Ehl was appointed to the position of Material and Manufacturing, Director  for the small woman-owned company.  “Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that he has been compiling over many years in the Space Industry.  say’s Mr. Bill Smith.  Throughout most of his career he resided as a NASA employee where he held many positions that include:  Director, Safety and Mission Assurance for Marshall Space Flight Center;  Deputy Associate Administrator, NASA Headquarters Office of Safety, Reliability, Maintainability and Quality Assurance;  Division Chief, Manufacturing Processes Division;  Materials Laboratory Branch Chief, Tooling Applications Branch;  Branch Chief, Planning Applications Branch.

Mr. Ehl has also been heavily involved with the NASA missions on the private side while working with Lockheed Martin and Teledyne Brown Engineering.  Also, he held the office of President and COO for Scientific Utilization Inc. “His illustrious career has lead him down many paths in this industry and we are honored to have him on our team.” Mr. Derrick Rains comments, “ He brings a great deal of energy and insight to our organization and he is certainly a great addition.”
